Inspiration
Matthew Curtis creates sleek, low profile styles inspired by the fusion of emotions that translate at DENIBI AW17.

The Hair
The featured style, a low twisted bun was created to compliment DENIBI’S nostalgic designs. Accompanied by a sleek, straightened and middle parted style that perfectly paired with DENIBI's chic collection.

An art piece that DENIBI took inspiration from had a crack in the middle, which divides the mask in two parts. The left side represents sadness and the right side represents happiness. It speaks to feeling sad because that joyful moment in your life is gone, at the same time, yet happy because you lived it. The fusion between the two feelings together translates into Nostalgia. This mask is the source of inspiration for the creation and development of the entire house.

Step1: Prep damp or dry hair with label.m Volume Mousse to create workable texture and volume, blowdry hair.

Step 2: Use elastic to create a low ponytail, while using label.m Hold and Gloss spray to smooth the hair with hold.

Step 3: Split the ponytail in two pieces and twist, using label.m Soft Wax to smooth the twists.

Step 4: Twist both pieces together into a bun and pin.

Step 5: Finish the hair with label.m Hold and Gloss spray for a sleek, shiny final look.

Tip: If hair is short, use label.m Hold and Gloss spray, in addition to the label.m Soft Wax for smooth twisting with no flyaways.
